As a Service Technician at AVTEL, you will play a key role in the installation, repair, and maintenance of integrated security systems, including Access Control and CCTV. You will be responsible for performing site installations, diagnosing and resolving technical issues, and conducting Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM). In addition, you will assist with small projects and collaborate closely with our engineering team to ensure the highest level of service for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver on Installation & Maintenance
Install, repair, and maintain integrated security systems, including Access Control, CCTV, and related technologies.
Conduct diagnostic assessments of technical issues and implement effective solutions.
Perform planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
Perform routine PPM on existing systems to ensure their optimal functioning and minimize downtime.
Deliver Project Support
Assist with site surveys and contribute to pricing preparation for customer projects.
Support small-scale project work as required, ensuring tasks are completed to specification.
Ensure Compliance & Safety
Adhere to company procedures, safety protocols, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for all installations and maintenance activities.
Drive continuous improvement through collaboration
Work closely with the technical team to resolve issues and contribute to continuous process improvements.

Experience
Technical Skills
You are experienced with Access Control, CCTV, and related security systems.
Proficient in troubleshooting and basic IT networking; CAD experience is a plus.
Communication Skills
You have strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical information to clients.
Fluency in both spoken and written Japanese and English is a plus; business-level proficiency in either language is essential.
Flexibility & Reliability:
You are willing to work outside standard hours when required, ensuring customer needs are met in a timely manner.
