Web Engineer - Full remote - Global Product Team (JP/EN)

1.) About the company

We are currently looking for a Web Developer to work in a rapidly expanding e-commerce company in Japan.

They have an extremely strong and growing reputation as they have had significant growth in the last couple years, with gaining +8million monthly users.

The company is looking to expand from 45 to 100 engineers in the next year and a half, whilst seeking to become a $1 billion IPO at the same time.

Due to it's recent growth, they are rearchitecting the frontend and backend of their web product.

Currently they are looking to expand their global product team, which is a full bilingual and international - with a 50/50 split between Japanese and English.

4.) Requirements

• +2 years of Web or Backend development experience using either Golang (Preferred), Ruby, Python, Java, Kotlin.
• At least 1 year development on an inhouse product.
• Ability to proceed with software development with ownership.
• Development experience using cloud infrastructure such as GCP or AWS.
• Fluent in Japanese - N1 level, or N2 with prior work experience in full Japanese.

5.) Nice to have

• Development experience using either React or Vue.js
• Development experience with large-scale consumer services
• Experience in mentoring or managing developers
