「English Only」 Cloud Application Technical Project Manager

Job Description:

• Building, maintaining, and improving stability and automation for the company’s internal cloud Kubernetes container platform and service mesh
• Stable operations and migration of existing services (legacy Kubernetes platform, Mesos/Marathon platform) to the internal cloud

In this role, you will be responsible for project management, product management, accounting, and other non-engineering tasks related to services within the Container Platform Group.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Task, Project, and Product Management

   • Develop project plans, manage progress, and oversee risk management for each task and project
   • Formulate medium- to long-term project plans for each product
   • Support release operations and obtain necessary approvals
   • Coordinate with other departments and internal clients
   • Manage product backlogs
   • Oversee general tasks required for product maintenance and growth
   • Report to senior management on projects and products

2. Accounting & Server Resource Allocation

   • (Monthly) Billing Report: Generate usage reports for each service to invoice users and investigate usage inquiries if needed
   • (Monthly) Server Resource Adjustment: Summarize user demand forecasts and calculate required server numbers
   • (On Demand) Server Resource Allocation: Allocate procured servers to users based on priority
   • (Monthly) Sales & Cost Analysis: Generate KPI reports on revenue, costs, and profits for each service
   • (Yearly) Budget Planning: Support budget planning based on user forecasts and group plans
   • (On Demand) Sales/Cost Simulation: Analyze and simulate sales and costs when launching new services/products

3. General Non-Engineering Tasks

   • Respond to user inquiries
   • Manage user surveys
   • Manage daily engineering tasks (assign priorities, assign tasks, track progress)
   • Handle other non-engineering tasks

Required Technology Stacks:

• Programming and Scripting: Python, Shell scripting
• Cloud Platforms: GCP, AWS, Azure
• Container Platforms: Kubernetes, Docker
• Data Management: SQL
• Data Analysis & Visualization: Excel (SumIFS, XLOOKUP, Pivot tables), PowerPoint for presentations
• Project Management: Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban), SDLC understanding
• Networking and Linux: Experience with web, cloud, and Linux-based systems
• Monitoring & Automation: Experience with automation and container orchestration 

Desired Skills:

• Familiarity with service mesh concepts and tools (e.g., Istio)
• Experience in budget planning and financial reporting
• Proficiency in English (TOEIC score 800+ or equivalent) and Japanese is a plus
