A global renewable energy company is looking for a Deputy CFO. The selected candidate will help develop and implement financial strategies, monitor financial performance, and provide guidance for decision-making. This is a hybrid set-up role.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures
• Monitor and analyse financial performance, providing guidance and recommendations
• Oversee preparation of financial statements, reports, and analysis
• Manage the budgeting process and coordinate financial audits
• Lead the development of financial plans and forecasts
• Monitor the implementation of accounting systems and controls
• Review and approve financial reporting
• Develop and oversee tax strategies and plans
• Maintain relationships with external auditors, bankers, and financial institutions
• Advise on investments, mergers, acquisitions, and financial transactions
• Oversee treasury activities, focusing on liquidity management and forecasting
• Lead the implementation of a new ERP system

Requirements:

• More than 12 years of combined accounting, finance, and consolidation experience
• Practical experience in preparing and reviewing consolidated financial statements under IFRS
• Hands on experience in designing and implementing controls over financial reporting
• Prior FP&A (budgeting/forecasting) experience
• Experience in treasury management and financial risk management
• Previous work experience in a "Big 4" or comparable accounting firm is ideal
• Background in the Renewable Energy industry is desired
• Experience in a startup or "Unicorn" company is preferred
• Knowledge of auditing and governance is a plus
• Possess a valid Chartered Accountant qualification (CPA, ACCA, ACA/CA, or equivalent)
• Fluent level English
