Job Description

HUB PERFORMANCE MANAGER

A global European marine transportation firm is seeking for high calibre Hub Performance Manager to be part of their regional team here in Singapore. This is a new headcount where you will have an opportunity for new hub set up project.

 

About the Role:

As the Hub Performance Manager, you will be responsible for the internal coordination, preparation, and communication of the terminal berthing plan as determined in close cooperation with the vessel operators, terminals , balancing priorities between connections, deadlines, and required productivity levels.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Coordinate with Regional Berth Planning and terminal operators to ensure optimal berthing lineups and monitor vessel ETA/ETC progress.

  • Work with the terminal and Network Execution to ensure timely vessel dispatch.

  • Collaborate with Marine Operations to create and maintain master-berthing plans, considering volume forecasts, crane intensity, production rates, and yard utilization.

  • Optimize berth plans to secure transshipment connections and maximize vessel utilization in coordination with Cargo Control and transshipment teams.

  • Implement and drive the usage of Portchain Connect to improve operations.

  • Minimize vessel waiting times by working closely with Network Execution to reduce delays.

  • Conduct post-port call reviews, identify areas for operational cost reduction, and suggest continuous improvements.

  • Act as an escalation point for ETA/ETC changes, adjust labor orders, and ensure accurate, timely berth performance reports using QlikView/QlikSense.

 

To succeed in this role, you must have proven experience in port and terminal management, with a focus on berth planning, port operations, and hub management.

 

Key Requirements:

  • Degree in marine studies, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field, or experience as a Nautical Officer.

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in this industry with 5 years of managerial role

  • Strong knowledge of port operations, vessel scheduling, and terminal activities

  • Strategic mindset and the ability to develop and implement effective plans and initiatives

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to drive operational improvements

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders

  • Organized, high collaborative, detailed oriented and self-motivated
