Controller position to be involved in standardizing reporting procedures across acquired entities and in reporting and closing | WFH and flex available

They have expertise in areas like genomics, pharmacology, and clinical diagnostics, and have grown to employ around 60,000 people across 900 labs globally.

In Japan, the company operates a network of laboratories, supported by a central hub that manages key administrative functions. With about 1,000 employees, the Japanese division is a leader in testing services and is focused on significant growth in the near future.

Description

• Prepare financial reports, including monthly P/L and B/S, in line with accounting standards and company policies.
• Lead the completion of financial reporting for both internal management and external stakeholders, including tax filings and audit coordination.
• Collaborate with various teams to improve financial processes, ensure compliance, and manage tasks such as budgeting, expense processing, and payroll analysis.
• Participate in the implementation of new systems and process improvements.
• Provide training and support to team members, promoting a culture of growth and continuous improvement.
• Gain diverse experience in finance, with opportunities for role rotation based on performance and organizational needs.
• Contribute to the transformation of the finance function towards best practices in a dynamic and global environment.

• Proficiency in business English for speaking, writing, and reading.
• Experience in auditing is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, adapting to uncertainty.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for building relationships with stakeholders.
• Experience in a global company and familiarity with IFRS accounting.
• Knowledge of bookkeeping, Excel, and various financial systems.
• Experience in intercompany reconciliation, process improvement, and project leadership.
• Familiarity with ERP tools is a plus.
