Position: Senior Should Cost Engineer
Location: Nagoya
Language: Bilingual
Job Description:
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Interpret drawing per customer specification, to understand customer requirement.
• Utilize cost methodologies and tools and appropriate software models and packages to prepare and maintain reliable and accurate data.
• Design to cost support for NPI Programs
• Perform Product cost out opportunity in a target-oriented manner through VAVE methodology and cost analytics.
• Estimating the cost to feature & highlighting all cost drivers.
• Estimating the cost for selected geographies and analyzing supplier quotations
• Performing GAP analysis and identifying the opportunities with Should cost.
• Validating suppliers’ one-time charges and non-recurring cost expenses (tooling, fixtures, jigs, development costs).
• Knowledge on Electromechanical parts and estimating cost from Physical samples.

Required Skills
SKILLS / COMPETENCE
• Should have experience in should costing for various commodity like
• Metallic Components, Composites, Electrical/ Electronic parts
• Able to handle projects independently with clients.
• Knowledge on costing tools Apriori/ DFMA/ TCPCM/Costimator/ NPV/ TCO etc.
• Knowledge on CAD tools CATIA/ Siemens NX/ Creo/ Solid works.
• Capable to study drawing and GD&T, Understand Component technical requirement.
• Able to generate ideas on tear down products to reduce the cost of products.
• Knowledge on material properties, heat treatment methods and surface coating solutions.
• Knowledge on ROI, Pareto, cost saving calculation, cost out concepts.
• Knowledge of Product Costing Methodology, Industrial engineering practices, Manufacturing processes, Work-centers, Tooling etc.
• Should have experience in First Article inspection (FAI) and PPAP documentation review as per quality requirements.
• Knowledge on Quality tools & Quality standards like ISO 9001-2015/ ISO13485:2016/ IATF 16949/ AS9100D is an added advantage
