Our client is a global financial institution that covers various services with strong operations in Japan.

The Role

• Reviewing monthly and annual financial closing activities and maintaining daily ledger entries.
• Overseeing the preparation of local regulatory and audit reports.
• Ensuring accurate reconciliation and adjustments for month-end closing.
• Validating Transfer Pricing and calculating splits accurately.
• Implementing controls in accounting processes and contributing to the application of the company's accounting control plan.
• Documenting procedures and controls comprehensively.
• Managing daily and monthly net capital ratios in collaboration with business counterparts.
• Ensuring timely submission of local regulatory reports, including liquidity reports.
• Assessing accounting and regulatory capital impacts of new products and trades.
• Corresponding with auditors and regulators, both external and internal.
• Providing financial analysis and presentations to CFO and stakeholders, including business cost and revenue analysis and reporting.
• Leading enhancements and operational process improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Managing adhoc financial accounting requirements.
• Leading and managing a team, including task assignment, setting objectives, and monitoring progress.
• Motivating and developing team members through continuous feedback and annual performance appraisals.
• Leading teams to successfully completely new tasks, projects, and initiatives.

Your Skills

• 10+ years of experience in financial accounting and reporting from Financial Institutions or consulting firms
• 3+ years of management experience
• Full working proficiency in both Japanese & English
