Responsibilities:
- Verify and correspond on monthly financial reports
- Review balance sheet reconciliations
- Manage cash flow and liaise with financial institutions
- Analyse inventory and make necessary accruals
- Review monthly accruals from departments
- Ensure compliance with tax and commercial regulations
- Implement new tax and accounting regulations promptly
- Maintain SOX compliance across business cycles
- Identify and execute process improvement initiatives
- Supervise local accounting team
Requirements:
- 8-10 years of accounting experience
- Experience in SAP
- Understanding of IFRS
- Prior experience in retail business (stock, contracts, cash collection, etc.)
- Native level Japanese; fluent level English
