【Overview】
The company develops and provides the “Money Forward Cloud” series of B2B SaaS. Since its release in 2014, “MoneyForward Cloud Invoicing,” the core of the series, has supported the streamlining of various billing operations, including invoice creation, and has contributed to improved business productivity.

However, many small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) still face challenges such as inefficient paper-based accounting operations and opaque management information, and low productivity is a social issue. The company is committed to the daily evolution of “MoneyForward Cloud Billing” in collaboration with partners such as accounting firms and tax offices that deal with the management of SMEs and sole proprietors, and governments that are promoting digitalization. By increasing the number of users, the company aims to improve the business productivity of domestic companies and, by extension, the competitiveness of the domestic business as a whole.

The introduction of the invoice system and the spread of digital invoicing will drastically change billing operations in Japan. Under these circumstances, the company is working to rapidly improve the value of its products by developing new functions and enhancing existing ones, while strengthening its system to ensure more stable operations so that users can use its services with peace of mind. The company is currently seeking a Lead Engineer to join their team.

【Organizational characteristics】
Organizational Features The Cloud Invoice is one of over 30 service lineups in the Money Forward Cloud series and is a core service of Money Forward, released in 2014, following accounting and tax filing services. While it is a well-utilized service, we are also taking on new challenges, one of which is development at our overseas base in Vietnam since 2020. Therefore, the common language of the team is English, and all documents are also in English. We are looking forward to applications from those who want to lead a development team in English and work with overseas members to create products.

【Responsibilities】
As a lead engineer on the “Money Forward Cloud Billing” development team, one of the company's flagship products, you will be responsible for the following tasks

Developing new features and enhancing existing features to increase the value of the products offered
Ensure stable operation of core services
Address technical debt and make various improvements to ensure continued product growth
Promptly investigate and respond to user inquiries
As a Lead Engineer, you will work with the Engineering Manager to create the product delivery roadmap, manage engineering resources to achieve the roadmap, manage the progress of development processes, and plan and execute strategies to improve productivity and test quality in the development process.

You will also collaborate with product managers, designers, and other team members to realize product development that solves user issues.

Furthermore, this product is currently being developed with engineers at Money Forward's Vietnam development base. The common language of the team is English, so the above tasks will be conducted primarily in English.

【Required】
3+ years of web application development experience using Rails
Experience in maintenance, operation, and development of mission-critical web services and business systems
Experience in managing and training other team members

【Language】
English: Fluent in both written and spoken
Japanese: Not required (Interests in learning is a plus)

【Preferred】
Knowledge and experience in contracts, procurement, order processing, billing tasks, or bookkeeping, accounting, and financial operations
Experience in maintenance and operation of B2B web services
Experience collaborating with engineering teams at overseas bases
