Job Description

The Main Tasks of the Job Assignment

To bridge the communication between Denmark and our agent and customers in Japan and possible in other Asian countries:

- Interpretation/Translation of communication with the customers and agent(s)
- Travel planning in connection to STRECON Denmark's visits to Japan
- Assist STRECON Head Office in Denmark to carry out their activities and tasks in Japan (ex: technical questions and matters as well as commercial tasks like quotation, invoice, payment, etc.)

Form of translations / communication:
Written, oral, and video meetings as needed. Translation of the communication with our agent and the customers during our visits to Japan.

Additional Information
There is a possibility of conversion to permanent full time position, depending on the performance evaluation and how the business grow.

General Requirements

Minimum Experience Level Over 3 years

Minimum English Level Business Level (Amount Used: English usage about 50%)
Minimum Japanese Level Native
Minimum Education Level Bachelor's Degree
Visa Status Permission to work in Japan required

Required Skills

Must haves

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in interpretation (real time communications)
  • Excellent communication skill in English (written and oral)
  • Able to work rather independently (i.e. remotely from head office in Denmark or from Japan)
  • Has a natural talent for customer communication.

Added advantage to have

  • Formal education for  English-Japanese translator may not be necessary, but will be considered a major plus
  • Some background in communication of technical issues in the tooling and machinery sector would be advantageous.
  • It would also be advantageous if the market liaison can speak Japanese, English, and Korean.
