The Role

Job responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Local Finance Compliance: Ensure adherence to local finance regulations.
• Treasury and Tax Assistance: Assist in crafting treasury and tax strategies for Japan.
• Financial Performance Monitoring: Track financial performance aligned with forecasts.
• Internal Controls and Compliance: Enforce compliance with financial regulations and standards, establish internal controls, and support audits.
• External Auditor Relations: Maintain communication with external auditors.
• People Development: Foster talent development and collaboration within finance teams.
• Local Governance Establishment: Establish and maintain governance in accordance with legal standards.
• Fiduciary Duties: Act as authorized signatory and manage governance for legal entities.
• Regulation Adherence and Knowledge Sharing: Ensure compliance with corporate regulations, oversee joint ventures, and facilitate knowledge sharing.
• Technical Accounting Support: Research complex transactions, stay updated on accounting standards, ensure compliance, and provide training/support.

Your Skills

• 10+ years of accounting experience from any industry (experience from manufacturing company will be a plus)
• Some years of management experience
• High-business level in Japanese & English
