【JOB SUMMARY】
The Cost Engineer is to assist with the planning and coordination of activities for the capital projects to ensure that goals and objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed time frames. Responsibilities include companywide interface, cost & schedule evaluation, cost control, and preparation of financial reporting.
【ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES】
●Drive Multi-Year Capital Investment Planning (MCP) Program as a member of Team
●Work with subject matter experts to develop and refine 5-10 years asset replacement strategies for HVAC, Kitchen equipment, Fire Panels, Roofs, Elevators, Escalators other MEP(s) and Show/Attraction related assets. Sustainable Initiatives to achieve Carbon Neutrality Goal and other Initiatives related Environment will also be included. This can be expanded across line of business partners for the MCP Program
●Support to Project Team for Attraction Renewal to develop and refine 5-10 years asset replacement strategies for the MCP Program.
●Work with companywide partners to identify and define scope for Multi-Year Capital Planning (MCP), including:
・Review and check a description of capital investment projects requested by each Department.
・Evaluate a required cost and time schedule of capital investment projects requested by each Department.
●Track and follow up on action items and ensure all project opportunities are updated in online database

【REQUIREMENTS】
●Bachelor’s degree from a four year college or university in Architectural/Civil Engineering or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
●5 years of project execution experience in a theme park or other industries.
●3 years of cost estimation/evaluation experience for Construction or other related works.
●Ability to make accurate quantity surveys and to estimate the cost of materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor's work, ascertaining that all areas have been accounted for prior to submitting estimate for review.
●Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
●Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Project.
【Desired Characteristics】
●Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills
●Proficient in both speaking and writing Japanese and English.
●Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
●Strong time management skills
●Ability to multi-task and be flexible is essential.
●Experience working with CMMS systems preferred. (Maximo, etc.)
●Experience in AutoCAD.
●Experience working with Schedule Management Tools (e.g. MS Project, Primavera)
●Theme Park Operations knowledge and experience
