【主たる役割】
① タイヤ事業を支えるための電子＆通信技術、人口知能およびデータ分析の技術の開発、並びにタイヤ・センサー、通信機器、IoT機器および関連するソフトウェアおよびハードウェア等のタイヤに付加される製品の開発を行う専門家のチームをリードする。　
② 人口知能や画像処理の技術で、工場の工程自動化プロジェクトのCFT(クロス・ファンクショナル・チーム)をリードする。

Head – Advanced Engineering(Electronics)

【Main Purpose of Job (Why job exists/what it must achieve)】
Explore technology enablement in tyre business, identify business opportunities and prepare strategy for implementation.

Lead a team of experts in Electronic & communication, Artificial intelligence & data analytics to develop enabling technologies and tyre plus products such as Sensors, communication devices, IoT devices and related software and hardware to support Tyre business in existing and emerging business models.

Function as a technology enabler for process automation projects in manufacturing plants as part of CFT.

【Main Responsibilities / Job Summary】
(Primary deliverables of role and its scope)

Coordinating the team globally for development of tyre sensors and communication devices to support tyre business.

Develop strategy with marketing and sales to seek potential opportunities with technology advancements and translate them into IoT enabled business. 

Establish strong partnership development model involving customer, OEMs, universities and established solution providers in electronics, communication and hardware development.

Lead the team for embedded software development, design and implement firmware for data acquisition subsystems.

Assisting the cross-functional teams in prototyping, designing, analysis, and testing.

Lead the team on process automation projects using artificial intelligence and image processing

Work with OEMs on joint development and integration of tyre sensors with vehicle control systems.

Develop partnership ecosystem for concept development, proto development, testing and manufacturing of tyre plus products, sensors and control systems.

【Skills & Knowledge Requirements(Abilities / Knowledge & Expertise in field)】
Knowledge(Technical / Functional)

• Hard core knowledge in embedded system development 
• Design firmware for the data acquisition subsystem, including sensor calibration, remote configuration and logging
• Artificial intelligence and data analytics

Skills: Desirable

• Database management / Development
• Image processing and OpenCV
• Mobile app for both IOS and Android platforms using ionic/Cordova framework for user interaction with smart IoT products.

Qualifications.  
M.Tech. (E&C Major),Computer Science/AI or Ph.D. in related domain

Experience: Desirable 
15-20 Year hardcore experience in leading teams in Electronic system development

Working with OEMs on vehicle control system projects.
