 Wind TA Specialist

As part of the Japan Consulting team, the candidate will give technical support for Technical Due
Diligence process of Wind energy projects as well as perform activities such as general technical advisory services, construction monitoring, engineering design and grid code compliance verification, among others.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Performance and Supervision of Wind Analysis, EYA (wind data, SCADA), site suitability
    analysis for the pre-construction and post-construction assessment of the performance of
    wind power plants, for evaluations of expected production of wind projects, site compliance;
  • Inspections and surveys on site and on plants for electricity production from renewable
    sources;
  • Technical consultancy services in wind energy sector and renewable sources;
  • Technical Due Diligence Performance and Supervisory
  • Construction and Operation Monitoring

General Requirements

Minimum Experience Level Over 1 year
Career Level Mid Career
Minimum English Level Business Level (Amount Used: English usage about 75%)
Minimum Japanese Level Fluent
Minimum Education Level Bachelor's Degree
Visa Status Permission to work in Japan required

Required Skills

Key Requirements:

  • High knowledge of the local technical market; good knowledge of wind energy technology;
  • High knowledge of measurement campaign procedures and technology;
  • High knowledge of wind data analysis , Long Term Assessment, Wind Modeling and
    statistical analysis;
  • High knowledge of Plant Performance Losses Assessment and Uncertainty analysis for EYA
    analysis;
  • Good Experience in Construction and Performance Monitoring of Wind Power Plants;
  • Good Experience in performing, for wind and PV projects, pre-construction and post-construction Technical Due Diligence on and included activities (all or in part) like Permitting
    Assessment, Engineering Assessment, Wind Turbine Technology Review, Contracts Review
    and Assessment, CAPEX , FM inputs review;
  • Language Skills: Japanese, English: TOEIC 800+, C1 level or similar.

Desired requirements:

  • Experience with technical analysis tools (WASP, WindSim, Windographer, WindPro, etc.),
    Mesoscale modeling knowledge and WRF software will be a plus;
  • Knowledge of mathematical and statistical calculation programs (Matlab);
  • General good ICT knowledge;
  • Good knowledge of Office, WAsP, WindPRO, Windfarmer, CFD;
  • Basic knowledge of programming languages.

Education:

  • Engineering degree (electrical, mechanical, aerospace, energy) or Math, Physics
